Does anyone like a deep fried turkey on Thanksgiving like we do?! 👋 Here’s a good video from our fellow firefighters showing grease fire dangers with deep fryers.

Save yourself the trouble, if you haven’t taken your turkey out to thaw by now, it won’t be fully thawed for Thanksgiving.

WATER AND GREASE DON’T MIX!!

Here’s some safety tips for deep frying:
• Keep your deep fryer at least 10 feet away from any building, and not under any awnings
• Have a fire extinguisher handy and ready for use
• Consider using an electric or air fryer
• Make sure your fryer is on a sturdy flat surface
• Consider purchasing a fried turkey
• The sides of a fryer can be very hot, use oven mitts or pot handles

Stay safe out there! 🦃

You had me at “Consider buying a fried turkey”!

And don't forget to plug in your Lithium-ion battery powerd bike in a wall outlet. Enjoy the fireworks!

Seriously, who fills their fryer that full, puts a frozen bird in it, and cooks so close to the house that the siding was probably melting before the fire?

1rst....WHY would you have it so close to the house. 2nd.... WHY Wouldn't you test the level w/water before adding and heating the oil? 3rd.... I know this is just a fire prevention safety video.
